The airport sits only a few kilometres from Mykonos Town, and the new port at Tourlos is a short drive north of it, so transfers are quick — the problem is not distance but supply. The island's taxi fleet is famously small, and in July and August the wait after a ferry docks can be longer than the crossing from a neighbouring island.
