Alemagou

A bamboo-and-driftwood beach bar on Ftelia, the north coast's windsurfing bay, serving Mediterranean plates by day and DJ sets toward sunset. The bohemian counterpoint to the south-coast clubs.

Ftelia is a wide, wild bay where windsurfers race the meltemi, and Alemagou is the only real venue on it: cane shades, beds on the sand, a kitchen doing Mediterranean sharing plates and a sound system that comes alive in the late afternoon. It is the north coast's version of a beach club, a good deal more relaxed than the south.

You will need a car, scooter or taxi to reach it; buses do not serve Ftelia.
