Bakalo is the answer to the most common Chora question: where can we eat real Greek food at a reasonable price without a beach-club bill? Its menu reads like a good village taverna — stuffed vegetables, slow-baked lamb, grilled meats, Mykonian kopanisti cheese — done with care and served in a quiet courtyard.
It is a short walk from the Fabrika bus station on the south side of town, which makes it an easy dinner after a beach day rather than a trek into the lanes.
